Unpacking and Wakeboardin!

I've finally finished unpacking, and I've been busy catching up with everyone in Dallas, and eating the good food I missed while I was away. I went wakeboarding on wednesday with Nick, Matt, and Brent, and Nick has a sweet Mastercraft X-Star, it threw a killer wake. We rode starting at 6am to 11am, and it was amazing. I went first, and since it was my first time out all season, and on my new board, I bit it hard the first 4 tries just riding back and forth. The new board is 4cm shorter than my old one, so it feels less stable and more sketchy. I finally got the feeling for it and I got some nice pop off the wake, and some good grabs. I rode goofy for a little while, and the longboarding has helped with my stability going backwards (switch). I'm soooo sore today, and everything hurts, neck, back, biceps, triceps, traps, legs, pecs, ughh, oh well. Advil doesn't help that kind of beating, I had some nice back-plants yesterday, but luckily no face plants, those hurt even worse, but it was worth it. I had a great time. Today for lunch I had the Thai Chicken Pizza at CPK, and a Hot Johnson at PD Johnson's for Dinner. We watched a DVD our grandfather gave us for Christmas, and it was cool to see everyone as a baby, and as they grew up, and see my grandfather when he was in college. I am in the last DVD at the very end, when I was 4 months old, and it's a video of me taking my first swim, naked. Yup, bearing it all in my first and last porno, in the pool at the center island house that my grandparents had back in 1986. I went to Ozone on monday, and that was fun, I saw Jason, my counselor from my last year at Ozark, and he's doing well. Mark Z. was there too, and he taught me how to wakeboard, way back when, and Kelli was there who was at the archery range my last year there. She is going to teach me at pre-orientation at camp starting on Sunday. I can't wait to be back at camp, and it's going to be a blast! See ya around, hopefully I'll go boarding again tomorrow.

Last Night at Camp Vandy... for now

IT's the last day here at camp vandy, and I go home tomorrow at 12pm. I can't wait to leave, but I know that once I'm home i will want to be back here. I was hanging out with Esham tonight, he's from Malaysia and he lives on my hall. We watched Flight of the Phoenix, then hung out and looked at each other's pictures, and talked for a while. And I'm all packed up. I was pretty lonely earlier, I have to be around people or else I get depressed or I dont know what to do with myself, so I have to call people between classes or when i'm just walking around by myself. So I went to blockbuster to cancel the movie pass, and I saw Stan, then I went to bread and co and got a huge sandwich. Then I came back and watched the movie, and hung out. I got my Orgo grade, a B+ which I'm psyched about, and I got good grades in other classes as well. The parents are pleased. I helped Alex move out today, and that was fun, I got to talk to his dad who does programming for drug software. His mom is an organic chemist, and she told me she hates it when people call it orgo because it's so important to them, it's their jobs, so I called it organic chemistry around her, but in my head I was saying "orgo"... Anyway, I went swimming today, and I swam a 500 pull, and a 200 IM which was the first time I've done either in a LONG time! IT felt so good to get back in the water, I'm a fish, and I forget sometimes I need to be in the water just to survive and get on with life.

Studying and Storage

Liz's mom and I went to the storage place that we had reserved only to find out that they gave our space away!!! APPARENTLY we Pre-Reserved a space and we needed to Reserve a space. Who KNEW?! Why is there even a difference, they asked liz what dates, and they even called her to make sure she remembered, and then they gave it away! On top of that, the guy was an asshole, and didnt want to help us at all, then he gave us the name of another place that is run by public storage that was like 15 mins away. We went there and the lady was much nicer. Then I came back and studied for orgo, then we went to Houston's again, it was amazing, that place is really good. Then I went to the Eskind Medical School Library and studied for 4 hrs, and I looked up my mom's publication in the New England Journal of Medicine. May 1985, an article about penicillin and its effects on syphilis in pregnant women. My mom was the second author, and she wrote the article, so that was cool, I've never seen anything she's written published before, it gave me a whole new respect for her that her name is in the library! That was cool. Then I went down the parking garage, all 11 stories backward (goofy) and then I came back to my room. And here I am. Big day tomorrow, it's the "last day of school" my last final is tomorrow, orgo, and it should be pretty easy, and i've studied alot for it. It's over Amines and Carbohydrates, and nothing else, it'll be fun. See ya later, the hall's exploding with people....

Math Exam II

So I took the exam. I rocked it, hard. It went down in flames, not me. I kicked its ass. I hope. Seriously, I feel like it went really well, there were a few problems that took me a few tries, then I realized the type of problem and got the answer quickly. I missed one that I know of, but she'll give me partial credit "for being creative" i had like 20 mins to spend on this problem and I probably tried it 6 different ways, but it was a stupid telescoping series which I totally forgot about and didn't study, so it's ok that I missed that. Liz's mom got in town and we went to Starbucks, I packed up my room, and took the posters down, which is the biggest feeling of packing you can do. I took the stuff out of my closet, it didnt phase me, I had big boxes in the middle of the room, no feeling of change, just a little bit of clutter and lost floor space, but it is always dirty. Posters down, it's a whole new room, in a bad way, its like a hospital room, but without the sympathy painting of a sailboat or some crappy watercolor. I'm ready to go home, but my parents get here saturday, and i'm taking some stuff to storage on wednesday, so that's why I started packing. Orgo final on thursday, I hear it's easy, but thats only if you study, so I'm gonna start studying, peace out.

Going to bed early

So I went to bed early last night at 12AM, to try to get some rest so I could study all day today, but I woke up at 4AM. I couldnt go back to sleep. Plus I was having some stupid dream about school and when i went back to bed for like 10 mins I kept having it. Then I told myself I would dream about wakeboarding since I havent been in so long. So I ended up dreaming about kiteboarding except I ran into a bunch of buildings and that was no fun, I guess the lake was too small. Going to go study some more for Calculus, exam review at 11:30 so see ya later.

Math Exam

I'm feeling a little bit better about the math exam, I studied at Eskind Library for about 3 hrs today, and that place is awesome. Buffet was pretty good this morning, cinnimon toast crunch and a burrito, interesting combination. Alex has been watching all of the family guy episodes for the past 3 days, in preparation for the new one tonight. Everyone keeps sending those stupid AIM messagest that says "Check out this!" and it's a virus, I've probably gotten a dozen of those already... oh well. I'm trying to get a new subwoofer for my car so I can sell my old ones and regain the trunk space I lost sophomore year when I was ignorant and didn't need trunk space. Anyway, Liz and I are doing well, and we watched house of sand and fog last night, it was very Shakespearean, everyone died at the end, it was graphic.
