TURKEY TROT!

So I decided to run the 8 mile turkey trot in Dallas, it was nuts! There were 30,000 people there to run the 3mi and 8mi combined, and it was crazy! I went really fast, and I beat a lot of people who had clearly been training and working hard for this, suckas! Overall, my time was 55'29"14 for 8 miles, that's less than 7 minute miles! I was stoked, and I originally wanted to get under 1hr, then as I reached the 6 mile marker, I set a new goal to get under 56min, or 7min miles, and I did it! Here are the mile times:

That's just what I timed with my watch, the chip time on my shoe was probably about a second faster...

I'm happy with my time! Tara also ran a turkey trot in Birmingham, it was a 10k, so 6.2 mi and she got 3rd place Female for her age group, and 8th place female overall! Yay Tara! I love you!
